Phyllostachys nigra "Bory" "black leopard"

The last couple years in the grove, shoots in the grove have been smaller than the 3.5 inch culm produced in 2011. Well this year has had a huge flush of 2 inch culms as well as a couple that will meet or beat the record culm. I'm estimating this will beat 3.5 and might even make the 4 inch mark.
